I am a Senior Research Engineer at UNITH, Barcelona, Spain. Previously, I was a Senior Research Engineer at Haxion in San Francisco, working on LLM pipelines and 3D scene understanding.
I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universite Cote d’Azur (I3S/CNRS), where my research focused on 3D human digitization using Neural Rendering techniques (NeRF, 3D Gaussian Splatting, Differentiable Rendering). I was advised by Andrew Comport, Srinath Sridhar, and Tarek Hamel.
I have published research in top-tier conferences including CVPR and IEEE CAI, and have been recognized with awards such as the Best Poster Award at EuroGraphics 2022 and the EU’s H2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship.
Research Expertise
Neural Rendering & 3D Reconstruction — My core research focuses on neural rendering methods for photorealistic novel view synthesis and 3D reconstruction. I have worked extensively with Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) and 3D Gaussian Splatting, developing faster training strategies with depth-guided sampling and probabilistic scene representations.
Human Avatar Reconstruction — I specialize in 3D human digitization and human avatar reconstruction from RGB and RGB-D data. My work on HFGaussian combines Gaussian Splatting with biomechanical features for realistic, animatable human avatars. This includes real-time human body capture with biomechanics-aware neural rendering.
Production AI Systems — Beyond research, I build production-grade LLM pipelines, VLM systems, and computer vision applications. I have experience deploying AI at scale using PyTorch, FastAPI, AWS, and GCP.
